Angel Hair Pasta with Trumpet Royale Mushrooms
This is one of those "trick" recipes that we all know and love.
It tastes like a gourmet dish that you've spent hours on, but it
takes about 15 minutes to prepare. Like most pasta dishes, it's improved
tremendously when served with fresh tossed greens and crusty bread.
Cook the pasta according to directions. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and onion and cook until tender.
Stir in the cream cheese, salt and pepper. Cook and stir over low heat until the cheese is melted.
Stir in the milk and chives. Heat through and pour over the hot pasta. Toss to coat and serve immediately.
