Black Garlic Tapenade
Black Garlic has recently made quite a splash on the food scene. Once known only to a few cutting-edge chefs (and Asian health food devotees), black garlic is now readily available to us all. Black garlic is more than just the latest food fad - it's the real deal with a unique flavor and texture unlike anything else in the world.
Ingredients:

2 oz black garlic, removed from husks
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt



Directions:

 

Place husked garlic and olive oil in a food processor and pulse until mixture is fairly smooth and olive oil is incorporated. Add sea salt to taste.

Serving suggestions:Smear Black Garlic Tapenade generously on slices of crusty bread, use as a dip for fresh vegetables or drizzle on grilled seafood.

Variations: Add chopped kalamata olives, softened sun-dried tomatos, capers or cooked mushrooms - or combinations of the above-mentioned ingredients - for fun & variety!
