American Chestnuts were once the giants of the Eastern Forest, valued not only for their nuts, but also for their beautiful, durable wood.
But nearly all American Chestnuts were wiped out by the Chestnut Blight 100 years ago. Soon, almost all of the American Chestnuts trees were dead and nut production stopped.

Now, however, Chestnut groves can once again be found throughout the Midwest as local chestnut farmers grow, harvest, process and peel their own chestnuts.

Earthy Delights offers delicious, fresh American-grown Chestnuts for a few months each Fall. Frozen peeled ready-to-use chestnuts are also available year round, making the preparation of chestnuts a much less tiresome task.

We also offer a selection of excellent imported frozen chestnuts and other chestnut specialties.
