Drying is an age-old method of preserving mushrooms, allowing us to enjoy them any time.

Dried mushrooms can have a shelf life of many months without refrigeration, and for a year or more if frozen. They're always ready to go at short notice for any occasion; they are easily reconstituted and can be used in place of fresh mushrooms in most recipes

Reconstitute dried mushrooms in warm water for 20 to 30 minutes, saving the liquid for use in soups and sauces. As a rule of thumb, dried mushrooms will reconstitute to 6 - 8 times their dry weight.
