The Yellow Foot mushroom (Cantharellus lutescens) is a small, delicately shaped mushroom that is related to the Chanterelle family. The Yellow Foot has a very pleasant flavor not unlike the Golden Chanterelle.

Like the chanterelle, the Yellow Foot has a characteristic fruity, almost peppery flavor and a slightly chewy texture. This mushroom is highly versatile and is a welcome addition to soups, stews, poultry, vegetable dishes, casseroles, egg dishes and sauces.
