Years ago, the legendary Larry "Tree" Lonik worked with people from Michigan State University to develop a cultivated morel. While there have been several attempts at commercial cultivation over the years, success has been spotty at best.
Fortunately for morel lovers everywhere, there has recently been a renewed effort at taming this incredible wild mushroom and we've managed to secure a supply for at least the next few weeks.
These morels may not have the same intensity of flavor as their wild cousins, but they are beautiful, have a great shelf life and are guaranteed bug free.
