Hot Peppadews were "born wild" in South Africa
Peppadews (Capsicum baccatum) from the Limpopo province of South Africa cross the bite of jalapeno chile peppers with the sweetness of red bell peppers.
The heat of these delectable little peppers is tamed by the removal of the seeds which reduces the heat of the pepper to modest levels. It is then pickled and bottled, capturing the incredible flavor and sweetness of this remarkable little pepper.
The appealing flavor of the Peppadew is sweet, with mild heat of around 1,177 on the Scoville scale. Add some life to the party with Peppadews!
