Pasta with Black Truffles, Olive Oil and Basil
Truffles, though humble in appearance, are larger than life when it comes to flavor. If you want to make a lasting impression, try a main course containing truffles. On top of the mystique and "presence" of the truffles, they truly do have a remarkable and unforgettable flavor.

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
angel hair pasta
1 tablespoons fresh basil, cut julienne style
freshly cracked black pepper
1/8 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 ounces black fresh truffles


Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain well.

Toss the pasta with the 1/2 cup of olive oil, half of the basil, and salt and pepper to taste.

Mound the pasta in the center of two dinner plates. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan.

Shave the truffle over each serving of pasta, then garnish with the remaining basil.
