Springman’s Country Store bacon is cured and smoked using the same old-fashioned, tried-and-true methods since 1905.
Curing is the process of adding salts and other preservatives to the pork. No nitrites or nitrates are used, except for those which naturally occur in celery (who knew??). The meat is all-natural, hormone-free, minimally processed, and free of artificial ingredients.
Ah, Smoking. The meat is smoked over untreated, specially selected hardwood chips. We’re not giving away family secrets so the rest is up to your imagination!
