Description 

 

Wasabi is a pungent Japanese root that is used as a condiment to add flavor and a blast of sinus-searing heat to many dishes. Powdered "wasabi" typically does not contain real wasabi, but is a blend of powdered dried horseradish and other ingredients that provides a similar flavor and sensation.

 

Wasabi powder is mixed with an equal part of water to make a light green colored condiment with an intense, pungent flavor. Reconstituted wasabi paste is a familiar accompaniment to sushi and sashimi, but it also makes a wonderful addition to many other foods as well. Mix wasabi powder with mayonnaise or sour cream to make a flavorful spread or dip, add to oils or vinaigrettes to drizzle over salads, vegetables or other dishes.

 

Ingredients: Horseradish, ascorbic acid, citric acid, artificial colors, corn starch.
