Sesame-Ginger Pasta with Shrimp & Scallops

Sesame-Ginger Pasta with Shrimp & Scallops
This is the tricky kind of recipe that I especially appreciate because it's really simple to prepare, but it seems like it ought to be very difficult. I do, however, like to add a tablespoon of lime juice to this recipe. I admit to adding just the smallest bit of tamarind paste,as well.
Ingredients:

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup unseasoned rice vinegar
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and minced very small
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons chili paste
1 teaspoon Sesame oil
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh mint
1 pound angel hair pasta
1/2 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 pound fresh scallops

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients except the pasta, the shrimp, and the scallops.
Let the sauce simmer very gently for at least an hour. Add water if it begins to dry out.
Cook the shrimp and the scallops in the sauce for about ten minutes. Add water if it begins to dry out.
Cook the pasta according to package directions, then drain well.
Mix the sauce with the pasta and toss thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
