Black Garlic Barbecue Sauce
Summertime means grilling time. Why not try something a little different from the usual tomatoey barbecue sauce? This sweet-sour-savory barbecue sauce, inspired by Chinese-style sauces, is wonderful on everything from seafood and poultry to beef and pork.
Brush the sauce on near the end of the cooking process to prevent burning, but don't worry if it chars a little - it's delicious that way!
Combine all ingredients and simmer in a large saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes or until it bubbles and begins to thicken slightly. Cool, put into a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.
